About us

High Ham civil parish is located in the South Somerset district of the county. A large rural parish of 2,0304 ha., it has seen development and an increase in population in the last 50 years, but old Blue Lias cottages remain a key feature of the settlements. The parish has a primary school, village hall, churches and chapels, playing field and a pub. Landmarks include Millennium Wood, Eastfield nature reserve, Britain’s only thatched windmill, and a network of footpaths that link the settlements and access the surrounding countryside.

To find out about life in our parish today, its organisations, community groups, facilities, events, as well as its history, please explore our community website.
